Midwest Assembly, Warehouse & Distribution Announces Retirement of General Manager/COO George Bichanich

West Bend, WI — Midwest Assembly, Warehouse & Distribution, LLC (MAWD) announces the retirement of George Bichanich, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer, who will step down shortly after the new year. Since founding the company in 1988, George has been instrumental in establishing MAWD’s operational framework, its reputation for reliability, and its long-standing partnership with Frank Mayer and Associates.

Over the course of 36 years, George guided the company through steady growth, operational evolution, and significant industry developments. His leadership has shaped MAWD’s processes, culture, and client relationships. In addition to leading the organization, George has been an active mentor and contributor to warehousing and local industry groups, helping strengthen best practices within the region.

Upon his retirement, Tom Bichanich, will assume leadership, continuing the family’s commitment to disciplined operations and customer-focused service.

As George transitions into retirement, he plans to enjoy more time with family and his grandchildren, while also pursuing his passions for Milwaukee Brewers baseball, Green Bay Packers football, and an active lifestyle.
